Experimental and Computational Characterization

The second pillar of the computational synthesis framework is the validation of predictions made by computational synthesis using experiments that can probe materials at atomic length scales and sub pico-second time scales. Further, novel materials and heterostructures identified an synthesized through the computational synthesis pathway must be thoroughly characterized, both experimentally and computationally, to understand their chemical, mechanical and electronic properties.
