Joint USA-European Symposium on Extreme-Scale Simulations, Machine Learning, and Neutron & X-Ray Scattering for Quantum Materials 2023
Spetses, Greece.July 9-14, 2023Anargyreios and Korgialeneios School of Spetses (AKSS)
July 9-14, 2023
Experts in Machine Learning, Computational Materials Science, Materials Genome Initiative and Exa-scale Computing
This symposium will bring together more than 50 global experts in the fields of deep learning and quantum materials (theory, simulations and experiments) for an extensive five-day discussion geared towards the advancement of quantum materials research using AI techniques. The symposium will take stock of the ongoing research efforts under the banner of various machine learning methods and their applications to quantum materials research in order to leverage the upcoming leap in capability due to proposed exa-scale computing systems, AI and machine learning methods, novel material synthesis and characterization techniques and experimental facilities. Ultimate goal is to use deep learning methods to accelerate discovery of novel quantum materials for future technologies including quantum computing and information.
Structured panel discussions will also serve to establish collaborations and brainstorm about future challenges in this domain.
